2007 Executive Women International Scholarship Program (EWISP) Winner

Nathalie Baptiste Nathalie Baptiste (center), shown here with her sister, Marie Casseus (left) and father, Pierrot Baptiste (right) is a junior at Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville, Md. This successful and driven young woman plans to pursue a major in finance while following a pre-law curriculum with the ambition of working in corporate law.

Nathalie is an outstanding, “straight-A” student. She has played the violin for six years and recently won an award for music excellence. Also, a math wiz, she was awarded the prestigious Greenberg Outstanding Math Award. Making use of any free moments, Nathalie took business administration credits at Montgomery College during her summer break in 2006.

Anna Loum - 2007 Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) Winner

Anna Loum Originally from Gambia, Anna Loum is the very proud, single parent of a sixteen year old son, Baba Tundo and a seven year old daughter, Louisa. Anna works full time as a cashier and is currently pursuing computer training at CitiWide Computer Training Center to become an expert on Microsoft Office so that she can gain full time employment in an office environment.


Morena Ramirez - 2007 Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) Winner

Morena Ramirez Morena Ramirez immigrated to America six years ago from El Salvador. She began her study of Nursing in El Salvador and plans to use her EWISP scholarship to attend Montgomery College to attain a degree in Nursing. Morena and her husband have a one year old daughter, Yulissa, for whom she intends to be a role model. She is currently studying English, is most determined to gain successful employment and be in a position to help others in the community.
